The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that the Darien new south platform (track 4 – New Haven bound east side) will be opening and the existing south platform (track 4 – New Haven bound west side) will be closing at the Darien train station starting Monday, November 17, 2025.
DOT Project No. 0301-0195 was awarded to Banton Construction, Inc. at a cost of $31,972,395.49 on August 3, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed July 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 5 in New Haven.

Measures will be in place (signs/traffic people) to direct commuters to the proper route to use. The west platform will be closed, and the new east platform will open on November 17, 2025.
