The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 32 in Montville. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, June 30, 2025, and be completed on Thursday, August 7, 2025. Project No.
DOT01720536CN “DD” consists of milling and resurfacing a 3.00-mile segment of Route 32 in Montville from Massapeag Road to the Montville/Norwich Town Line. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading Inc. on Monday, June 30 to Friday, July 11, 2025.
The resurfacing segment of this project by American Industries Inc. is anticipated to begin on Monday, July 28 to Thursday, August 7, 2025. No work will be performed on Friday, July 4 due to the Independence Day holiday.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 32 in Montville from Massapeag Road to the Montville/Norwich Town Line. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
