The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 218 in Windsor. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, July 20 and be completed on Thursday, September 18, 2025. The project DOT01710506CN “H” consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.06-mile segment of Route 218 in Windsor from Windsor Avenue to Deerfield Road. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Sunday, July 20 to Thursday, August 7, 2025. The resurfacing segment of this project by Galasso Materials is anticipated to begin on Sunday, August 3 to Thursday, September 18, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 218 in Windsor from Windsor Avenue to Deerfield Road. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 6:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
