The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 17 in North Branford. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, June 22 and be completed on Saturday, July 12, 2025. Project DOT01730543CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.73-mile segment of Route 17 in North Branford from 0.01 miles north of the North Haven town line to 0.01 miles south of the Route 22 connector. The milling segment of this project by Tilcon is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 22 to Monday, June 30, 2025. The resurfacing segment of this project by Tilcon is anticipated to begin on Monday, June 30 to Saturday July 12, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 17 from 0.01 miles north of the North Haven town line to 0.01 miles south of the Route 22 connector. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday night to Saturday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
