The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 169 in Lisbon and Canterbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, and be completed on Friday, July 25, 2025.
Project No. DOT01720536CN “CC” consists of milling and resurfacing a 5.25-mile segment of Route 169 from the I-395 underpass in Lisbon to Service Route 668 (Butts Bridge Road) in Canterbury. The milling segment of this project by Rafferty Fine Grading Inc. is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, June 18, 2025 to Friday, June 27, 2025. The resurfacing segment of this project by American Industries Inc. is anticipated to occur on Monday, July 14, 2025 to Friday,
July 25, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 169 from the I-395 underpass in Lisbon to Service Route 668 (Butts Bridge Road) in Canterbury. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
