The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 146 in Branford and Guilford. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, July 7 and be completed on Friday, July 18, 2025. The project DOT01730543CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.61-mile segment of Route 146 in Branford and Guilford from Leetes Island Rd to 0.03 miles east of the Branford/Guilford Town Line. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Tilcon on Monday, July 7 to Friday, July 11, 2025. The resurfacing segment of this project by American Industries is anticipated to begin on Sunday, July 13 to Friday, July 18, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 146 from Leetes Island Rd to 0.03 miles east of the Branford/Guilford Town Line in Branford and Guilford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday night to Friday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
