The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on East Broadway Street and Seaside Avenue (Service Road 737) in in Milford. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, April 21 and be completed on Friday, May 2, 2025. The project DOT01730543CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.52-mile segment of East Broadway Street and Seaside Avenue (Service Road 737) in Milford from the Silver Sands state park gate to Route 162 (South Broad Street). This project is scheduled to begin milling by A & J Construction on Monday, April 21 to Thursday, April 24, 2025. The resurfacing segment of this project by O & G Industries is anticipated to begin on Monday, April 28 to Friday, May 2, 2025.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2025 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

Motorists can expect lane closures on East Broadway Street and Seaside Avenue (Service Road 737), from Silver Sands state park gate to Route 162 (South Broad Street) in Milford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
