The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that milling and paving of track 3 (new york bound side) parking lot at the Darien train station will start on Saturday, November 22 beginning at 5:00 a.m. and ending Sunday, November 23, 2025, at 11:59 p.m
The track 3 (new york bound) north side parking lot is being milled, paved and restriped to provide a smoother driving and walking surface. The platform will be open during this time and access can be made from the west side (right side of track 3 platform) on west avenue.
DOT project no. 0301-0195 was awarded to Banton Construction, inc. At a cost of
$31,972,395.49 on august 3, 2023 and is scheduled to be completed July 2026. This project is administered by the bureau of engineering and construction, office of construction, district 5 in New Haven.
Detour info
Measures will be in place (signs/traffic persons) to direct commuters and vehicles to the proper route to use. The parking lot will be closed on November 22 from 5:00 a.m. to November 23, 2025, 11:59 p.m. Traffic will be detoured accordingly.
