The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that Metallizing of Bridge #00606 & #00607, stage 2, will be performed on Campville Road in Litchfield, on the north side of the bridges. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, March 10 and be completed on Monday, May 10, 2025. The project 0140-0178 consists of Metallizing of 11 bridges along route 8 in Thomaston and Litchfield.
CTDOT Project No. 0140-0178 was awarded to Blast All Inc. at a cost of $17,357,810.70 on 12/31/2023 and is scheduled to be completed 11/30/2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 4 in Thomaston.

Monday, March 10 to Monday, May 9, 2025, a stage shift will occur switching traffic from the north section of the bridge to the south section of the bridge, maintaining alternating one-way traffic on Campville Road. Traffic control signing patterns and temporary traffic signals will guide motorists through the work zone. Temporary traffic barriers and sand barrel arrays are installed to delineate the traffic pattern and work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
