The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that upgrading of existing guiderail will be performed on Route 109 in Washington from mile marker 3.52 (Bee Brooke Road) to 6.10 (New Milford town line). This project is scheduled to begin on Monday October 6, 2025, and be completed on Friday, November 14. The project 01740474 consists of upgrading existing guiderail systems to current standard systems.
This project is being performed by Atlas Fence Company.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be lane closures on Route 109 beginning on Monday, October 6 through Friday, November 14, 2025, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns and flaggers will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
