The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that construction will begin for improvements to Route 6 and an intersection realignment of North Main Street and Agney Avenue in Plymouth. This project is scheduled to start on October 13, 2025. The purpose is to correct operational deficiencies within the proposed project limits.
CTDOT Project No. 0110-0136 was originally awarded to Schultz Corporation on April 12, 2022, at a cost of $3,768,291.59. Following a redesign, construction will resume on October 13, 2025, at an updated cost estimate of $10,768,291.59, with project completion anticipated by November 30, 2027. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 4 in Thomaston.

Motorists can expect alternating one-way traffic will occur during off-peak hours on Route 6. Police Officers and traffic control signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone during construction.
