Installation and Revision of Traffic Control Signals in Western Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that installation and revision of traffic control signals will be performed at various intersections and towns in western Connecticut. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, April 21, 2025, and be completed on Tuesday August 4, 2026. Project 0174-0448 consists of installation/revision of traffic control signals, signing and pavement marking work, and construction of sidewalks and ADA compliant sidewalk ramps.

CTDOT Project No. 0174-0448 was awarded to the NY CONN Corporation at a cost of $4,138,917.23 on September 25, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed on August 4, 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 4 in Thomaston

 

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be intermittent lane closures with an alternating one-way traffic pattern throughout the project duration from April 2025 through August 2026 at the intersections and towns noted above, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Traffic control signing patterns, flaggers and municipal police will guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
