The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) that multiple lanes on I-84 eastbound in Waterbury will need to be closed during the overnight hours from Wednesday, April 2 to Thursday, April 3, 2025. This project is scheduled from Wednesday, April 2 to Thursday, April 3, 2025. This project consists of the rehabilitation of numerous bridges located within the Route 8 and I-84 interchange (Mixmaster).
This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 4 in Thomaston.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Multiple lanes on I-84 eastbound will need to be closed from Wednesday, April 2 to Thursday, April 3, 2025. Lane closures will start at 10:00 p.m. and continue for several hours. All lanes will reopen by 6:00 a.m. Motorists are advised that these lane closures may cause significant traffic delays. Traffic control signing patterns, and the State Police will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
