The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guide rail upgrades will be performed on I-291 westbound in South Windsor and Windsor from I-84 to I-91. This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, November 3 and be completed by Wednesday, December 31, 2025.The project DOT01710507CN consists of Guide Rail Upgrades.
This project is being performed by Eagle Fence and Guardrail.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be various right lane and shoulder closures on I-291 westbound in South Windsor and Windsor starting Monday, November 3 to Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 8:30 am. to 3:30 p.m., Monday-Friday. Traffic control signing patterns, trailer mounted attenuators and State Troopers will guide motorists through the work zone. No work will be performed around any major holidays.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
