The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a guiderail repair will take place on Route 8 south at Exit 26 in Naugatuck on Thursday, May 15, 2025.
This project is being performed by State Forces.

Motorists can expect the Exit 26 south on-ramp for Route 8 to be closed while work is being performed. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Traffic will be detoured Main Street to the Route 8 on-ramp northbound, get off Exit 27, make a left at the bottom of the ramp onto Waterbury Road, then back onto the Route 8 southbound ramp.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
