The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guiderail and attenuator installation will be performed on Route 8 at Exit 2B, north and southbound in Bridgeport. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday night, February 2 and be completed on Monday morning, February 10, 2025. The project DOT01730544CN consists of safety improvements to guiderail and attenuators.

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be ramp closures on Route 8 at Exit 2B, north and southbound from sunday night, February 2 to Monday morning, February 10, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. The detour for Exit 2B northbound on-ramp is Chopsey Hill Road to Boston Avenue to East Main Street to Exit 5 on-ramp to Route 8. The detour for Exit 2B on-ramp southbound is Chopsey Hill Road to Island Brook Avenue extension to Capital Avenue to Lindley Street to Exit 2A on-ramp southbound. The detour for Exit 2B off-ramp is Exit 2A off-ramp. Traffic control signing patterns, state troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.
