The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that guide rail upgrades will be performed on Route 9 north and south in Cromwell, Berlin and New Britain from Exit 30 to 35. This project is scheduled to occur at nights on Monday, July 28 and be completed by Friday October 31, 2025.The project DOT01710507CN consists of Guide Rail Upgrades.
This project is being performed by Eagle Fence and Guardrail.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be right lane, left lane and shoulder closures on Route 9 north and south in Cromwell, Berlin and New Britain from Exit 30 to 35. from Monday, July 28 to Friday October 31, 2025, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Traffic control signing patterns, trailer mounted attenuators and State Troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
