Guide Rail Installation Project on I95 North and Southbound in Clinton Old Saybrook and Westbrook

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a guide rail installation project will be performed on I-95 north and southbound in Clinton, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook. This project is scheduled to start on Tuesday, February 18 and be completed on Monday, March 31, 2025.

Project No. DOT01703718CN consists of removing the existing three (3) cable guide rail and installing an R. B. Mash Guide Rail System. This project is being performed by Eagle Fence and Guide Rail.

 

LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO

There will be alternating right/left lane and shoulder closures just north of Exit 62 at mile marker 66.7 at the Clinton Town Line to just prior to Exit 70 at mile marker 78.71 in Old Saybrook at the Old Lyme Town Line on I-95 north and southbound in Clinton, Old Saybrook, and Westbrook. The project is scheduled from Tuesday, February 18 to Monday, March 31, 2025, from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (Monday – Friday).  One (1) State Trooper, crash attenuator vehicles and traffic control signing patterns will be used to guide motorists through the work zone.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
