Drainage Repair Project on Route 151 in East Hampton

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a drainage repair project will be performed on Route 151 in East Hampton.  This project is scheduled to occur on Monday, September 8 and be completed on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. The rain date for this work will be Tuesday, September 9, 2025, to Wednesday, September 10, 2025, from

7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.  Project No. DOT01720536CN consists of performing a drainage pipe removal and replacement on Route 151 in East Hampton at house #139 between Knowles Road and Hog Hill Road. 

This project is being performed by CTDOT forces.

 

DETOUR INFO

A section of Route 151 in East Hampton will be closed to traffic on Monday, September 8 to Tuesday, September 9, 2025, from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Route 151 northbound traffic in East Hampton (Hog Hill Road end) will be detoured to Route 66, Route 196 and Route 16 (left or right) in East Hampton.  Route 66 eastbound traffic in East Hampton (Knowles Road end) will be detoured to Route 16 and taking a right onto Route 196 in East Hampton. This section of Route 151 in East Hampton will be re-opened to traffic on both days at 6:00 p.m. Traffic control personnel, signing patterns, and crash attenuator vehicles will guide motorists through the roadway detours. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
