The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that bridge work on Route 17 and the New London Turnpike in Glastonbury. This project is scheduled to occur on August 25, 2025, and be completed by October 15, 2027.
CTDOT Project No. 0053-0189 was awarded to Richards Corporation. Inc. at a cost of $14,533,419.00 on July 8, 2025, and is scheduled to be completed October 15, 2027. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill, CT.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be lane closures on Route 17 southbound as well as the exit ramps to New London Turnpike from Monday through Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Traffic control signing patterns and State Troopers will guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
