The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that bridge work will be performed on I-84 west at the Exit 21 off-ramp. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, June 24 and be completed on Thursday, July 10, 2025. This project ensures the bridge remains in a state of good repair.
This project is being performed by Hammonasset Construction.

I-84 west at Exit 21 will have shoulder closures nightly, Monday - Thursday starting Tuesday, June 24 through Thursday, July 10, 2025, from 7:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. Traffic control signing patterns will be in place with State Police to guide motorists through the work zone. There will be no work being performed for the upcoming holiday from July 3 through July 6, 2025.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
