The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing lane closures and a bridge load restriction of 32 tons for all vehicles is now in effect on Commodore Hull Bridge which carries Route 8 over the Housatonic River and Route 110 in Shelton and Derby on May 30, 2025. The Route 8 north and southbound left lanes will be closed to traffic starting on June 3, 2025, until further notice.
LANE CLOSURES/DETOURS
Work on Route 8 north will be performed between the hours of 9:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. where one lane of traffic will be maintained.
Work on Route 8 southbound will be performed between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. where one lane of traffic will be maintained.
Future ramp closures, detours and changes to the hours of work will be posted in future releases.
