The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing a wrong way detection installation will take place on Route 8 north at Exit 35 in Waterbury. This project is scheduled to occur on Tuesday, March 12 and be completed on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Exit 35 of Route 8 north in Waterbury. Traffic will be detoured Route 8 northbound to Exit 36, left onto Huntington Avenue. Then left onto Aurora Street to the intersection of Route 73 (Exit 35 off-ramp). Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday through Friday.
