The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing that a wrong-way detection system installation will be performed at the Route 2 east and westbound off-ramps to Route 214 in Ledyard.
The project consists of upgrades at locations in Ledyard at the following:
- Wednesday, February 14, 2024 | 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.
- Route 2 Eastbound Off-Ramp to Route 214
- Route 2 Westbound Off-Ramp to Route 214
LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect a temporary exit ramp closure to occur at the Route 2 east and westbound off-ramp to Route 214 in Ledyard. A detour will be in place at this location. Traffic will be detoured to Foxwoods Boulevard to Route 214. Variable message boards will be set up approximately one (1) week prior to the start of this project. Crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will be utilized to guide motorists through the work zone.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
