Safety Improvement Project: Various Limited & Non-Limited Access Roadways in Northeastern and Southeastern Connecticut

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a safety improvement project (epoxy pavement markings) will be performed on various limited & non-limited access roadways in northeastern and southeastern Connecticut. This project is scheduled to begin on Sunday evening, May 5 through Thursday morning, October 31, 2024.

No scheduled work on the following:

  • Starting Friday morning, May 24 from 6:00 a.m. and resuming 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, May 28, 2024, due to the Memorial Day holiday.

     

  • Starting Wednesday morning, July 3 from 6:00 a.m. and resuming 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening, July 5, 2024, due to the Independence Day holiday.

     

  • Starting Friday morning, August 30 from 6:00 a.m. and resuming 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening, September 3, 2024, due to the Labor Day holiday.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

This moving operation will use the proper crash attenuator vehicles. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone as needed. One (1) state trooper will be used on the limited access roadways. Two (2) or more vendor’s vehicles with flashing arrows will be spaced behind the marking machine. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday evenings – Saturday mornings.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
