The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that the start of work along Route 140 (Crystal Lake Road), Burbank Road, and Newell Hill Road will begin on March 4, 2024.
The purpose of this project is to increase the sight distances on Route 140 (Crystal Lake Road) for the Burbank Road intersection. The project is needed to improve the existing roadway geometry in the vicinity of Newell Hill Road and Burbank Road to improve sightlines.
CTDOT Project No. 0047-0121 was awarded to Guerrera Construction Company, Inc. at a cost of $6,154,385.50 and is scheduled to be completed by November 28, 2025. The project is being administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction - District 1 in Rocky Hill.
