Roundabout Work at Route 82 (Bridge Road) & Route 154 (Saybrook Road) in Haddam
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the start of work for the roundabouts on Route 82 (Bridge Road) & Route 154 (Saybrook Road) in Haddam will begin on March 18, 2024. The purpose of this project is to improve traffic operations by reducing queue lengths and delays at the intersections while improving vehicular, bicyclist, and pedestrian safety by reducing vehicle conflict points and speeds and improving pedestrian facilities. The replacement of Bridge No. 00622 is also needed to address its structural deficiency.
CTDOT Project No. 0060-0160 was awarded to Richards Corporation at a cost of $14,660,000.00 on December 27, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed on November 2, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in the Town of Haddam.
