The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that the replacement of Bridge No. 00279 will be performed on Lawler Lane and I-395 in Norwich. This project is scheduled to occur on Wednesday, November 20, 2024, and be completed on Wednesday, November 19, 2025. The project 0103-0277 consists of removal and replacement of the entire bridge and substructure with various other minor improvements.
CTDOT Project No. 0103-0277 was awarded to ROTHA Contracting Company, Inc. at a cost of $5,219,056.85 on October 7, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed November 19, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
There will be an alternating one-way traffic configuration on Lawler Lane along with a lane shift configuration on I-395. The above traffic configuration is expected to take place during the 2024/2025 winter months and is expected to last until November 2025. Traffic control signing patterns as well as a temporary signalization will guide motorists through the work zone.
