The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the rehabilitation of bridge no. 06847 over Polly Brook on Route 2 in Bozrah will begin on April 1, 2024. The project will rehabilitate the existing 290 foot long, 84” round culvert that conveys Polly Brook under Route 2 in Bozrah at mile point 31.25.  Additionally, permanent access roads will be constructed at both the inlet and outlet of the structure to allow access for construction and future maintenance operations and will include swale and ditch constructions, as well as modifications of the existing drainage at the outlet access road.  The access roads will be constructed utilizing geocell grid infilled with crushed stone. Rehabilitation of the culvert will include the installation of a 72” diameter aluminized steel structural pipe liner within the existing culvert and grouting the annular space between. Surface repair of the existing concrete will be performed at the inlet and outlet headwall and wingwall structures.
