The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that the U-turn for Exit 35 will be permanently closed for Route 8 Northbound starting April 15, 2024. Exit 35 will then be re-established and fully functional. The project consists of the rehabilitation of numerous bridges located within the Route 8 and I-84 Interchange (DOT Project No. 151-326/151-312/151-313) and was awarded to Walsh Construction Company at a cost of $152,960,945.27 on April 18, 2018.
