Pavement Preservation: Route 2 in Glastonbury and Marlborough

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a pavement preservation road work will start on Route 2 in Glastonbury and Marlborough on April 1, 2024. Project 0053-0201 is an approximately 8-mile section of Route 2 from mile marker 6.27 to 14.63, passing through Marlborough and Glastonbury. The scope of work consists of milling and paving Route 2 and entrance/exit ramps.

CTDOT Project No. 0053-0201 was awarded to Tilcon Connecticut Inc. for $15.3 Million on February 22, 2024, and is scheduled to be completed on November 1, 2024. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

There will be right or left lane closures on Route 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. as well as from 6:00 p.m. To 6:00 a.m. east and westbound. Construction signs will be installed to guide motorists through the work zone.
