The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the night work installation of a drainage crossing on Post Road East (US Route 1) at Bulkley Avenue in Westport will begin on July 9, 2024.
Closures will begin on Tuesday, July 9, and continue through Friday, July 12, 2024. This will facilitate the installation of twin 18” ductile iron drainage pipes, upgrading the existing intersection drainage.

This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 3 in New Haven.
LANE CLOSURE INFO:
There will be full eastbound closure starting just prior to the Bulkley Avenue intersection with eastbound traffic being funneled into the westbound left lane. Work will begin at 8:00 p.m. and be cleared by 7:00 a.m., Tuesday and Wednesday. This process will be reversed Thursday and Friday resulting in the connection of the northern and southern drainage runs.
