Milling and Resurfacing Projects on Route 193 in Thompson

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that milling and resurfacing projects will be performed on Route 193 in Thompson starting April 24, 2024. The project consists of two areas on Route 193 in Thompson:


Route 193 from Route 12 (Riverside Drive) to Route 200 (Quaddick Road) in Thompson
The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Wednesday, April 24 through Friday, April 26, 2024.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, May 6, through Thursday, May 9, 2024.


Route 193 in Thompson from East Thompson Road to the MA State Line

The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, April 29, through Thursday, May 2, 2024.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Thursday, May 16, through Friday, May 24, 2024.


These projects are included CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.


LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Route 193 from Route 12 (Riverside Drive) to Route 200 (Quaddick Road) in Thompson

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 193 from Route 12 (Riverside Drive) to Route 200 (Quaddick Road) in Thompson. 


Route 193 in Thompson from East Thompson Road to the MA State Line

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 193 in Thompson from East Thompson Road to the MA State Line


Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.


Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
