Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 97 in Scotland and Hampton

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 97 in Scotland and Hampton starting on Wednesday, May 15, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.86-mile segment of Route 97 in Scotland and Hampton.  The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, 2024.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday, May 29 through Friday, June 14, 2024.

 

This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 97 from the north junction of Route 14 (Palmer Road) in Scotland to U.S. Route 6 (Hartford Turnpike) in Hampton. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
