The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 71 in Meriden from the Wallingford/Meriden town line to West Main Street. The project DOT01710506CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.63-mile segment of Route 71 in Meriden from the Wallingford/Meriden town line to West Main Street. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Tuesday, August 13 to Thursday, August 22, 2024. The leveling segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, August 25 to Thursday, August 29, 2024, by Tilcon.
This project is included in the District 1, CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 71 in Meriden from the Wallingford/Meriden town line to West Main Street. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is Tuesday, August 13 to Thursday, August 29, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday.
