Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 66 in Hebron

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 66 in Hebron starting Monday, August 19, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.70-mile segment of Route 66 in Hebron. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Monday, August 19, 2024.  The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Wednesday, August 28 through Wednesday, September 11, 2024. No work will be performed on Monday, September 2, 2024, due to the Labor Day holiday.

This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 66 from the Marlborough/Hebron Town Line to Chestnut Hill Road in Hebron. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
