Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 53 in Danbury
The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 53 from .06 miles south of Coal Pit Hill Road to Routes 37, 39 and Service Road 841 in Danbury starting Sunday, June 23, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.07 segment of Route 53 in Danbury. The milling of this project is scheduled to begin on Sunday, June 23 and be completed on Friday, June 28, 2024. The resurfacing of this project is scheduled to start on Sunday, June 30 and be completed on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Maintenance Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating Traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday through Friday.
