Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 4 in Farmington

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 4 in Farmington from 0.10 miles east of Mountain Spring Road to 0.06 miles west of South Road starting Sunday, April 21, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 1.92 segment of Route 4 in Farmington. The milling of this project is scheduled to begin on Sunday, April 21 and be completed on Wednesday, April 24, 2024. The resurfacing of this project is scheduled to start on Sunday, May 5 and be completed on Wednesday, May 8, 2024.

This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect delays and one lane alternating Traffic. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday through Thursday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
