Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 190 in Enfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on, Route 190 eastbound exit to Service Road 515 to the entrance of Enfield Professional Park, Route 190 off-ramp to Pearl Street, Pearl Street on-ramp to Route 190, Route 190 off-ramp to Route 5 (Enfield Street), Route 5 (Enfield Street) ramp to Route 190, and Service Road 515 Pearl Street to Route 5 (Enfield Street) in Enfield starting Thursday, July 11, 2024. The project DOT01710466CN “A & B” consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.10-mile segment of Route 190 Eastbound Exit to Service Road 515 to the entrance of Enfield Professional Park and additional ramps off Route 190 and a 0.20-mile segment of Service Road 515 Pearl Street to Route 5 (Enfield Street).

This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading, Inc. on Thursday, July 11 to Monday, July 22, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Sunday, July 21 to Wednesday, August 7, 2024, by Galasso Materials.

This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

LANE CLOSURE INFO/DETOUR INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on, Route 190 Eastbound Exit to Service Road 515 to the entrance of Enfield Professional Park, Route 190 off-ramp to Pearl Street, Pearl Street on-ramp to Route 190, Route 190 off-ramp to Route 5 (Enfield Street), Route 5 (Enfield Street) ramp to Route 190, and Service Road 515 Pearl Street to Route 5 (Enfield Street) in Enfield.  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is Thursday, July 11 to Wednesday, August 7, 2024, 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
