The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 177 in Farmington and Plainville from Route 372 (West Main Street) to Route 6 Scott Swamp Road. The project DOT01710506CN consists of milling and resurfacing a 2.58-mile segment of Route 177 in Farmington and Plainville from Route 372 (West Main Street) to Route 6 Scott Swamp Road. This project is scheduled to begin milling by Rafferty Fine Grading on Thursday, August 22 to Friday, August 30, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to begin on Tuesday, September 3 to Tuesday, September 17, 2024, by Tilcon.
This project is included in the District 1, CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 177 in Farmington and Plainville from Route 372 (West Main Street) to Route 6 Scott Swamp Road. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is Thursday, August 22 to Tuesday, September 17, 2024, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday – Friday.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area. No work will be performed around any scheduled holidays.
