Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 156 in Old Lyme

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 156 in Old Lyme. The project consists of milling and resurfacing a 4.65-mile segment of Route 156 in Old Lyme. The milling segment for this project is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9 through Tuesday, April 23, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, April 29 through Wednesday, May 15, 2024.

 

This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.

 

LANE CLOSURE INFO:

Motorists can expect lane closures to occur on Route 156 in Old Lyme from the westbound junction of

Route 1 (Halls Road) to Portland Avenue. Traffic control personnel, crash attenuator vehicles and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
