UPDATED: Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 113 in Bridgeport and Stratford

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 113 in Bridgeport and Stratford. The project consists of milling and resurfacing 0.72 miles of Route 113 in Bridgeport and Stratford. This project is scheduled to occur Sunday, June 16 through Monday, July 15, 2024. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, June 16 through Wednesday, June 19, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Monday, July 8 through Monday July 15, 2024.

This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.  

LANE CLOSURE INFO 

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 113 (Hollister Avenue/Lordship Blvd.) from Orange Street in Bridgeport to Woodend Road Stratford.  The I-95 northbound Exit 30 off-ramp may be closed temporarily for a few hours during the milling and resurfacing portion of this project. The detour will be to get off I-95 northbound Exit 31 (Honeyspot Road), take a left at the end of the ramp, then take another left onto I-95 southbound, then get off Exit 30 (Surf Ave). Take a left at the end of the ramp which will take you to Lordship Boulevard. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
