Milling and Resurfacing Project on Route 108 in Shelton

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 108 in Shelton starting Sunday, August 4, 2024. The project consists of milling and resurfacing 3.46 miles of Route 108 in Shelton. This project is scheduled to occur the night of Sunday, August 4 through the morning of Friday, August 30, 2024.  The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, August 4 through Wednesday, August 14, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Sunday, August 18 through Friday morning, August 30, 2024.

This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.  

LANE CLOSURE INFO 

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 108 from the intersection of Ripton Rd and Huntington Street to SR714 (Center Street).  Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m., Sunday night through Friday morning).

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
