The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a milling and resurfacing project will be performed on Route 162 in Milford. This project is scheduled to occur on Sunday, October 13 and be completed on Monday, October 14, 2024. The project 173-543 GG consists of milling and resurfacing a 0.14-mile segment of Route 162 in Milford from US1 (Boston Post Road) to Robert Treat Parkway. This project is scheduled to begin milling by TILCON on Sunday, October 13 to Monday, October 14, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project by TILCON is anticipated to begin on Sunday, October 13 to Monday, October 14, 2024.
This project is included in CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.
LANE CLOSURE/DETOUR INFO
Motorists can expect lane closures of Route 162 from US 1 (Boston Post Road) to Robert Treat Parkway in Milford. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Sunday night to Monday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
