Mill and Fill Project on Route 15 North and Southbound in Woodbridge, New Haven, and Hamden (at the Heroes Tunnel)

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a mill and fill resurfacing project will be performed on Route 15 North and Southbound from 0.03 miles before the Heroes Tunnel to 0.11 miles after the Heroes Tunnel in Woodbridge, New Haven, and Hamden. The project consists of mill and fill resurfacing of Route 15 north and southbound in Woodbridge, New Haven, and Hamden. This project is scheduled to occur Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22, 2024. The milling segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22, 2024. The resurfacing segment of this project is anticipated to be performed on Friday, June 21 and Saturday, June 22, 2024.

This project is included in the CTDOT’s 2024 Vendor Resurfacing Program.  

LANE CLOSURE INFO 

Motorists can expect lane closures on Rt.15 northbound from the Woodbridge/New Haven town line to 0.25 miles past the Heroes Tunnel Hamden and Southbound from just past Exit 60 (Rt.10) to Exit 59 (Rt.69/63) Woodbridge. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is 9:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m., Friday night through Sunday morning. 

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
