Metal Beam Guide Rail Upgrade Project on Route 37 and Service Road 850 in New Fairfield

The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a guide rail upgrade project will be performed on Route 37 and Service Road 850 (Haviland Hollow Road) from Route 39 to Sherman town line and Service Road 850 from Route 37 to the New York state line in New Fairfield. The project consists of upgrading existing guide rail systems to current standard systems on Route 37 north and southbound from Route 39 to the Sherman town line, Service Road 850 (Haviland Hollow Road) from Route 37 to the New York State line in New Fairfield. The upgrades are scheduled to begin on Monday June 3 and continue through Friday, July 19, 2024, weather permitting. No work will be performed on the July 4th holiday.

LANE CLOSURE INFO

Motorists can expect lane closures on Route 37 and Service Road 850. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The regular work schedule for this project is 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday – Friday.

Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
