The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that an aerial cable maintenance operation will require state police to perform rolling roadblocks north and southbound along with a closure of the right lane on I-95 north and southbound in West Haven. The night work is scheduled to occur Wednesday night, June 19 through Thursday morning, June 20, 2024.
The power line operation will be performed by United Illuminating.

Motorists can expect a right lane closure to occur on I-95 northbound in West Haven between Exit 43 (Campbell Ave.) and Exit 44 (Rt. 10 Ella Grasso Blvd.) and I-95 southbound between Exit 46 (Sargent Drive) and Exit 44 (Rt. 10 Ella Grasso Blvd.) Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The work schedule for this project is from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Wednesday night through Thursday morning. The rain date for this project will be Thursday night, June 20 through Friday morning, June 21, 2024.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
