The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing the installation of new traffic signals in various towns in District 1 began on January 20, 2024. The project will install new traffic control signal equipment which include span poles, mast arms, signal heads, span wires, conduits, fiber interconnect, pedestrian countdown heads, sidewalk and sidewalk ramps, detection equipment, signing and pavement markings at 15 traffic signal locations. CTDOT Project No. 0171-0459 was awarded to Ferguson Electric Co., Inc. at a cost of $6,723,062.00 on December 6, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed September 10, 2025. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 1 in Rocky Hill.

The contractor may make temporary changes to traffic patterns Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. – 6:00 a.m.; and Saturday and Sunday between 6:00 p.m. – 10:00 a.m.
