The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that lane shifts along I-95 northbound between Exits 91 and 93 will be in effect starting March 19, 2024. I-95 northbound lane shifts beginning prior to Exit 91 and extends for approximately 1900 feet. Traffic will be guided to the right side due to construction work on the left side of Bridge 01802 over Taugwonk Road.
I-95 northbound lane shift beginning approximately 1 mile south of Exit 92 extending to just past Exit 92 on-ramp will guide traffic to the left while construction work is being performed along the right shoulder of I-95 northbound.
I-95 northbound lane shifts beginning prior to Exit 93 and continues for about 1600 feet. Traffic will be guided to the right side due to construction work on the left side of Bridge 01815 over Route 216.
CTDOT Project No. 0058-0340 was awarded to American Industries at a cost of $38,250,000.00 on January 21, 2023, and is scheduled to be completed June of 2026. This project is administered by the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, Office of Construction, District 2 in Norwich.
