The Connecticut Department of Transportation (CTDOT) is announcing that a conduit installation project will require north and southbound right lane closures, and closure of the Exit 9 northbound on-ramp on I-95 in Stamford starting Monday, July 29, 2024. The conduit installation will be performed in Stamford on the north and southbound side of I-95 at Exit 9. The night work is scheduled to occur the night of Monday, July 29 through the morning of Wednesday, July 31, 2024.
The conduit installation will be performed by Eversource Gas’s contractor B&D Contracting.
LANE CLOSURE INFO
Motorists can expect right lane closure on I-95 southbound, from just past the exit of the Darien rest area to just past the Exit 9 on-ramp in Stamford, the night of Monday July 29, 2024. Motorists can expect right lane closure and the Exit 9 on-ramp closure on I-95 northbound, from .50 miles before the Exit 9 off-ramp to just past the Rt.1 (East Main St./Post Rd.) overpass, in Stamford, the night of Tuesday, July 30, 2024. The detour for the Exit 9 on-ramp closure will be to travel northbound on Rt.1 (East Main St./Post Rd.) 2.39 miles to the Exit 11 on-ramp to I-95 northbound in Darien. Traffic control personnel and signing patterns will guide motorists through the work zone. The night work schedule for this project is from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., Monday night through Wednesday morning.
Motorists should be aware that modifications or extensions to this schedule may become necessary due to weather delays or other unforeseen conditions. Motorists are advised to maintain a safe speed when driving in this area.
